Glowing tributes to Upadhyaya on 103rd birth anniversary

JAMMU, Sept 25: Mocking at Congress party and leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad for his outbursts on Kashmir situation, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishan Pal Gurjar today accused the party of speaking the language of Pakistan on Kashmir.
At an informal chat with reporters at the sidelines of a function at BJP Headquarters Trikuta Nagar this afternoon held in connection with celebration of 103rd birth anniversary of former president of Bharatiya Jana Sangh and a great ideologue. Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Krishan Pal Gurjar said that Congress leadership is a frustrated lot and they don’t want development and progress in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said they (Congress) don’t want that Kashmir should be in national mainstream hence they adopt the tune and tenor of Pakistan over Kashmir.
The Union Minister said that it was for the first time in last over seven decades after independence that the dream of Deen Dayal i.e “One Nation and One Flag” was realized and Kashmir became an integral part of India. The Kashmiri youth will get jobs now as job opportunities will increase many fold with the abrogation of Article 370, he added.
He said 73rd Amendment of parliament to empower Panchayats will be now directly applicable to J&K and the Panchayats will get the funds directly form Centre with which every one will be benefitted now.
Taking a dig at Nehru, Gandhi, Abdullah and Mufti dynasties, he said till now all the benefits of Government schemes and policies were reaped by these dynasties while common man in the State was left high and dry. But now there will be lot of development in this State, he added.
Gurjar said the people belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBCs), Gujjars and weaker sections of the State will get the benefit of reservations who were deprived of the same till date. The seats will be now reserved for them in professional colleges, jobs and legislative bodes, He said the demand of Ladakhis regarding grant of UT status to the region has also been fulfilled.
Earlier paying glowing tributes to Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya he said late Jana Sangh president was a man of firm ideology whose working style was altogether different and he worked up to his last breath for the betterment and upliftment of weaker sections of the society. His concern for last man in the last queue indicates the pain he had for the welfare of common man, he added.
He said integral humanism theory of Deen Dayal is today also relevant. He always talked about the welfare of backward classes, Dalits and other weaker sections and his concern was how to bring them at par with other sections of society. His clear ideology was One Nation and One Constitution and he tooth and nail opposed two constitutions and two flags in one nation, he added.
Gurjar said taking a cue from Deen Dayal’s concern for weaker sections of the society, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi brought various schemes to spread his ideology and for the welfare of weaker sections of the society.
He said people of J&K and BJP activists of the State deserve all Kudos for fulfilling the mission of Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee which could not be done in last 70 years was done in just five years by Modi Government and your struggle.
Gurjar said that the present Union Government under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is working on the concepts as put forth by Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and various schemes for the socio-economic upliftment of the weaker sections, SCs have been launched and lakhs of people getting benefits of the same.
The Union MoS said that the BJP is organising programmes under National Unity Campaign to reach the people with the principles and ideologies of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee as both were against the provision of separate symbols for Jammu and Kashmir and worked for One Nation, One Constitution mission. He also greeted the party cadre and the people of the State on abrogation of Articles 370 and 35 A,
Speaker, Dr. Nirmal Singh said that it is an important day as the country got a great patriot on this day whom we remember with high regards and respect as he set new principles of serving the mankind. Although he was a highly educated person, still he left the idea of Government job and chose the path of working for the nation and the poor.
Former Dy. Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta said that Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya traveled a long journey and he set principles for public life.
Former Minister Sat Sharma said that Pandit Ji devoted his whole life for the nation and worked against the prevailing social evils.

Member Parliament from Jammu -Poonch Lok Sabha Constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma and former Minister, Ch Sukhnandan also paid glowing tributes to Deen Dayal at a function held at village Nowadhay, Mandal Phallian in Marh Constituency today, Jugal and Ch. Sukhnandan said that DeenDayal sacrificed his life for national cause.
Former MLA and senior BJP leader, Rajesh Gupta also paid rich tributes to former Jana Sangh president on his 103rd birth anniversary during the functions organized by the party in different wards of Jammu.
Rich tributes were paid to Deen Dayal at a function organized by party’s Talab Tillo Mandal where Keshav Chopra Mandal general secretary paid glowing tributes to late leader. Besides, Ayodhya Gupta district president, BJP also recalled services of late leader to the country and said he was an ideal Swayamsevak.

This Jan Jagran Abhiyan is one of the nationwide 370 programmes being held for spreading awareness about the importance of abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A.
