JAMMU, Nov 8: Pradesh Congress will hold a strong protest rally and ‘Gherao’ Civil Secretariat tomorrow on the opening day of Darbar Move offices in the winter capital of the State here.
The Congress workers from different districts and blocks will assemble at Hari Singh Park near Tawi this morning and then march towards the Secretariat. Senior party leaders will lead the protest rally.
PCC president G A Mir told the Excelsior that the State Government has completely failed in keeping and fulfilling the promises made to the people. He said that the PDP-BJP did not keep their words and the assurances they gave to the people of the State.
“Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit did not clear anything about the package he announced in the public rally on Saturday in Srinagar,” Mir said.
He said there was no mention about border residents, refugees and the package announced had no transparent and clear break-up.
“We will hold the rally and conduct ‘Gherao’ of the Secretariat to wake up the Government from deep slumber,” he asserted.
Congress Party will be highlighting the report card of nine-month PDP-BJP Government, which has failed on all fronts, he said.
