Cong to hold protest against price hike: Mir

SRINAGAR, Aug 3: Congress shall hold nationwide protest on price hike and Padyatra in each district to celebrate 75th year of Independence.
J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president, Ghulam Ahmad Mir today held a preparatory meeting of senior leaders in which the schedule of progammes including protest against inflation on August 5, Padyatra from 9 to 14 August were discussed and it was also resolved that party shall hold 75 Kms long Yatra in every district to celebrate 75th year Independence day.
Former JKPCC president Peerzada Mohd.Sayeed, CWC Member Tariq Hamid Karra, former Minister Taj Mohi U Din, former Legislators Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, Bashir Ahmad Magrey, Mohd Muzaffar Parray, Gulzar Ahmad Wani, PCC general secretaries Surinder Singh Channi, Shameema Iqbal, PCC secretary Abid Kashmiri, AICC members, DCC presidents of Kashmir and various other leaders participated.
Mir announced that Congress shall hold 75 Kms long Padyatra in every district of the country in connection with 75 year of independence. Tiranga Yatra shall cover several parts in J&K from August 9 to Aug 14.
“Congress proudly celebrate this day every year and hoist Tiranga on all important occasions, with great enthusiasm Mir added and said National flag flies high at Congress headquarter near famous Lal Chowk Srinagar since 1947, so there is nothing new in hoisting Tiranga at Lal Chowk,” Mir told the ruling BJP.
On this occasion AICC Members Nissar Mundoo, Irfan Naqib, DCC presidents Abdul Gani Khan, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, Sahil Farooq, Mushtaq Khanday, Umer Jaan, Mir Ruvais and various other leaders shared their views in the preparatory meeting.
