*Rajni Patil to lead Yatra in Jammu

JAMMU, Sept 5: Congress shall commemorate the first anniversary of `Bharat Jodo Yatra’ on Sept 7 in a big way at both capital headquarters Srinagar and Jammu besides at all district levels, in a big way to revive and reiterate the message of the Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
A mega event shall be held in Jammu and Srinagar, on the pattern of Bharat Jodo Yatra led by AICC leader Rahul Gandhi, which had started from Kanyakumari last year on this day and culminated in Srinagar on Jan 30 this year.
This was disclosed here today by the PCC president, Vikar Rasool Wani, who chaired a preparatory meeting of all senior PCC leaders, district presidents, frontal and other prominent leaders here in Jammu as well as later in Srinagar.
AICC I/C J&K party affairs, Rajni Patil, MP shall lead the Yatra in Jammu alongwith PCC president Vikar Rasool Wani, accompanied by working president Raman Bhalla and other senior leaders, former Ministers, ex-legislators, frontal heads, Corporators and others, while former DyCM, Tara Chand will lead in Kathua, former Minister Mula Ram in Samba, Balwan Singh in Udhampur, TS Bajwa Ex- MP in Rajouri, Jagangir Mir in Poonch, Indu Pawar ex- MLA in Reasi, Dina Nath Bhagat Ex MLA in Doda, Sham Lal Ex- MLC in Ramban and Naresh Gupta Ex- MLC in Kishtwar.
The meeting took stock of the preparations for the event in Jammu and elsewhere in all districts of the region and asked all party leaders and cadres to join in their respective districts or assigned places. The main event of yatra in Jammu is proposed to be held on Miransahib -Jammu route.
In Jammu, apart from working president Raman Bhalla,prominent those present in the meet included Mula Ram, Yogesh Sawhney, Ravinder Sharma, TS Bajwa, Gurbachan Kumari Rana, Balbir Singh, Indu Pawar, Kanta Bhan, Manmohan Singh, Vinod Sharma, Ved Mahajan, Krishan Bhagat, Hari Singh Chib, Dina Nath Bhagat, Pawan Raina, Shashi Sharma, Narinder Gupta, Narinder Sharma, Gurdarshan Singh, Yash Pal Kundal, TS Tony, Namrata Sharma and ors.
A similar meeting was chaired by the PCC chief at Srinagar party office which was attended by senior leaders and district presidents, frontal org leaders including CWC member Tariq Hameed Karra, GN Monga Ex- MLC , Haji Abdul Rashed Ex- MLA, Mohd Anwar Bhat, Abdul Gani Khan & ors.
It was decided to hold the Yatra from PCC Hq Srinagar at Moulana Azad road to Dalgate. Similar programmes shall be held at all district headquarters in Kashmir.
