JAMMU, Feb 17: Former Union Minister and AICC observer for J&K, Bharat Singh Solanki said that after the `Bharat Jodo Yatra’ by Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party has taken up ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo’ campaign to take Rahul Gandhi’s message to every house in all the states.
Launching the programme formally in Jammu and Kashmir here today, Solanki said that all Congress leaders in the JKUT would commence similar yatras at their convenience in their areas to take the message of Rahul Gandhi to every house in JKUT. All Assemblies in the State would be covered before March 26, 2023 , he added.
“Congress party will bring confidence in the people. The Party has history of serving people and we will continue to fight with the same spirit against the wrong policies of the government,” Solani said.
He said that after the immense love and affection received through “Bharat Jodo Yatra” the Congress Party has launched another programme, “Haath Se Haath Jodo” campaign at all India level and it will also win everybody’s heart. Under this programme the party workers will deliver a letter written by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and a “charge sheet” against the Central government to each household. Though programme was formally launched today, but the Padyatra would start from Feb 28 in J&k in view of harsh weather conditions here.
Addressing a meeting at party headquarters here today under the chairmanship of PCC president Vikar Rasool Wani, in which detailed programme was chalked out and communicated to the party functionaries throughout the UT, Solanki said that this is a tough task but with the cooperation of party workers and support of the general public, it will be accomplished.
Speaking on the occasion Vikar Rasool Wani said that “Hath Se Hath Jodo” campaign launched by the Congress party has already been started in several states but in Jammu and Kashmir we could not start it earlier because of severe winter and the Bharat Jodo Yatra in last phase. During the programme which is scheduled to end on March 26, party workers will reach out to all the Panchayats, villages and Polling booths of the UT as mass contact programme.
Working president Raman Bhalla, former ministers Mula Ram and Yogesh Sawhney; senior leaders Manmohan Singh, Rajnish Sharma, TS Bajwa, Balbir Singh, Balwan Singh, Ved Mahajan, Ashok Dogra, Pankaj Dogra, Rajesh Sadotra, Babal Gupta, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Pawan Raina, Shashi Sharma and others were also present during the meeting.
