Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Sept 12: BJP national general secretary in charge, J&K and Ladakh UTs, Tarun Chugh today asked Congress leaders to show guts and break their silence on the anti Sanatan Dharma statements of INDIA Alliance leaders.
In an interview, Chugh said there is a hidden agenda of the INDIA Alliance against Sanatan Dharma which has come to fore after one and the leader of Alliance started attacking it. He wanted to know why the Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are not opening their mouth on this serious issue.
Chugh said that those who want to wipeout Sanatan Dharma or Bharat should keep it in mind that Mohammed Gazni an Afghan raider, Khelji, Mughals, French, Portuguese and Britishers who ruled India for two centuries could not wipeout Sanatan Dharma despite their hard efforts. He said those talking of erasing Sanatan Dharma were day dreaming and they will never succeed in their vicious designs.
He said that INDIA Alliance leaders are themselves making statements of weeding out Sanatan Dharma. First it was the son of Tamil Nadu (TN) CM, Stalin who made a statement in this regard which was followed by another leader of the Alliance and now a Minister of TN has openly said that the formation of INDIA Alliance is for the wiping out of Sanatan Dharma from India.
This is a serious issue, he said, adding the leaders of INDIA Alliance have been exposed before the countrymen who will not tolerate such statements which are against the basic idea of Bharat.
Chugh said that the leaders of INDIA Alliance should clarify their stand on these statements of some of its leaders. They must explain that whether the Indian Constitution permits attacking and disrespecting any religion. Do not Alliance leaders know about the Constitution, he asked?
He also asked Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul and Priyanka to explain that why on the name of love the hatred is being created about Sanatan Dharma. Is this hatred about Sanatan Dharma being created to regain power, he added.
Chugh said that Bharat is not a piece of land but a living a civilization having a history and a rich culture of millions of years. The Congress leaders should not see it with the Italian prism but understand the deep history and culture of this country.
He said India has earned recognition all over the world under Narendra Modi’s leadership. He while terming hosting of G20 Summit in Delhi a great achievement said it is unfortunate that Congress vice president, Rahul Gandhi is making anti Modi Government statements from the soil of a foreign country which is shameful.
