UDHAMPUR, June 9: To highlight the local issues and general grievances, a meeting of Block Congress Committee, Panchari, was organized today at Panchari by block president Rasal Singh.
The meeting was presided over by the Congress district president, Ashok Gupta who was accompanied by ex-MLA Krishan Bhagat, PCC secy Vijay Manhas, ex PCC Secy Ashok Bakshi, Sarpanch Pt Shri Raj and Om Parkash Sharma.
While addressing the party workers, Ashok Gupta alleged that the present BJP-PDP Government has proved to be a total failure in providing the basic amenities like electricity, drinking water and ration to the people of this hilly tehsil.
He urged the administration to provide sugar and ration which is due for the last three months and also to remove the electric wires which are hanging on trees, to avoid any untoward incident.
Ex-MLA Krishan Lal Bhagat stressed that the Congress would not leave any stone unturned to highlight the grievances of general masses and get the same addressed.
Others, who addressed the meeting, included Sarpanch Laxman Das, Sarpanch Baldev Singh, Naib Sarpanch Sham Lal, Dr Rattan Singh, Manjit Kumar, Kuldeep Sharma, Surinder Kumar, Mangat Ram, Sudershan Kumar and Mohd Yousf.
