JAMMU, Feb 10: A rally of Congress workers was held today at Bari Brahmana under the leadership of senior party leader and PCC member Arun Sharma.
The meeting was attended by the party workers, Panchs and Sarpanchs from 25 villages, including Birpur, Sarore Smailpur, Rahya Baguna, Birjani, Tabela, Palli Bassi, Tamore, Jakh Tarore, Patlimorh, Gowal Dera, Gangotra and Khaderkal in Bari Brahmana zone under Vijaypur constituency.
Addressing the rally, Arun Sharma asked the Congress workers to strengthen the party at grass root level and gear up for the next Assembly elections. He predicted that Ghulam Nabi Azad would be next Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir State.
The rally was also addressed by some prominent Congress workers, who highlighted several local issues. They also appealed the high command to field a local and party loyalist as candidate in the Assembly polls.
