JAMMU, July 13: Congress today celebrated victory of INDI Alliance in several states, where it wrested 10 out of 13 Assembly seats which went to polls on July 10 and results declared today.
Led by JKPCC vice president Vinod Sharma along with general secretary (organization) Narinder Gupta and other senior leaders, the Congress activists celebrated the victory at Shaheedi Chowk HQ of the Party. Party activists burst firecrackers, distributed sweets and danced to the beats of ‘dhol’ over the victory. With this victory, the INDI Alliance is further strengthened.
On this victory, PCC leaders said voters gave their mandate in favour of the INDI Alliance because of the works of alliance partners and the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi who led from the front. “From this result, it is clear that people are fed up from the hollow slogans of BJP,” they said, adding, Modi factor did not work as BJP’s strategy of division of votes failed to garner support of people of different communities.
PCC secretaries Sahil Sharma & Michael Wazir, Youth Congress I/C HQ Ricky Dalotra, Parshotam Mehra, Camres David Babloo, Nasir Masih, Raj Kumar Sodi, Nek Mohd, Farooq Salaria, Munish Kumar, Ramesh Chander, Gharu Ram, Sunil Kumar, Pappi Kumar, Titu Gill were among the prominent leaders who attended celebration function.
