JAMMU, Dec 12: Congress Councillors of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) here today claimed that the Government programme ‘My Town My Pride’ (MTMP) has badly failed.
In a press conference Dwarka Choudhary, Chief Whip of Congress Councillors said that MTMP programme involved camps in JMC Wards which were not attended by many people and those who attended these couldn’t get solutions to their problems.
He said that there is no development or positive outcome from MTMP.
“There was also a question regarding Jammu Smart City project as to what works are being done in each Ward under this project and how are these programs benefitting each Ward,” he said, adding that every Ward representative should be taken in confidence for decisions on works to be done in Wards.
The Congress leader said JMC has failed to provide sufficient funds for all development works in Wards and requested the LG to intervene to ensure that necessary funds should be provided to JMC.
“It has been a demand for a long time by people to regularise colonies. JDA conducted a survey for this and regularisation process should be done as soon as possible,” he continued.
