JAMMU, July 17: A team of Congress leaders distributed ration and other essential food items to the poor and needy at PCC HQ Jammu today, in view of unprecedented price hike during economic crisis.
Led by Ravinder Sharma (Ex-MLC and chief spokesperson JKPCC), Congress leaders including Sanjeev Sharma (secretary PCC), Suresh Dogra (chairman OBC), Ricki Dalotra (vice president PYC), Rajiv Saraf, Parshotam Mehra, Camres David and Gurmeet Singh distributed relief to around 30 families who were poor and needy.
The relief material included flour, pulses, edible oil and other food items. A series of such relief distribution programmes have been carried out by Congress leaders and workers in different areas and localities of Jammu province to help the poor and needy during the worst economic distress and unprecedented price hike.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravinder Sharma said that poor people can’t afford two times meals for their families in view of unprecedented price hike under BJP regime and that is why Congress has come forward to provide some relief to poor and needy.
