JAMMU, Dec 30: Prominent political personalities from Congress and Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan (DSS) along with their supporters from Kathua Kandi joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in presence of J&K, BJP president Ravinder Raina at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
Sarpanch Foreland Bakhta West-A Pinki Devi, Sarpanch Krishan Singh Jothana Lower, Panch Neeru Jasrotia, Panch Rajkumar, Panch Mohinder Singh, Ex Sarpanch Bashesher Singh, ex-Panch Kabul Singh, Vibhishan Sharma, Vijay Singh Bakhta, Naseer Ali, Nizam Din, Istaf Ali, Rashid Ali, Saddam Ali, Mohd. Sardar, Jasbir Singh, Wazir Ali and others joined BJP on the occasion.
Panchayati Raj Cell convener, Shiv Dev Singh, Cell convener Mookherjee Sharma, Mandal president Rajesh Kumar, Mandal president Gian Singh, Panchayati Raj Cell, co-convenor, Sarpanch Balwant Singh, Shakti Kendar Pramukh Randeep Singh, district vice-president, Mahila Morcha Indu Rekha and other party leaders facilitated the joining.
Ravinder Raina welcomed the new entrants into the party fold and said that the prominent and imminent social personalities as well as senior leaders from other parties are daily joining BJP to serve the masses in a better way. These massive joining programmes clearly indicate the immense inclination of public support for the party which will reflect in Assembly polls.
He said that the party has earned this love and respect from all the quarters of the society with the sheer hard-work of our dedicated volunteers. He asked the new entrants to strengthen the party with their future endeavours. He also asked them to work with the principle of “Nation First” in mind.
Shiv Dev Singh said that Panchayati Raj Cell of the party is dedicatedly working to ensure the reach of public welfare schemes to every Panchayat. He said that the Cell leaders are working with the mission of “Samarath, Atam Nirbhar Panchayat”, which is the vision of Modi Ji.
Pinki Devi said that they are impressed by the way the PM Modi has empowered the Panchayati Raj system. She also said that Modiji has worked for the real empowerment of the women in society.
