JAMMU, Oct 1: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee held candle light protest here today over the most barbaric and shameful incident of rape and murder of a young girl at Hathras in Utter Pradesh, seeking exemplary punishment to the culprits and against those responsible behind the saving the culprits.
Blaming the BJP Government led by Yogi Adityanath, responsible for the criminal negligence over the attempts to shield the criminals involved the barbaric brutal and most inhuman and shameful incident the activists of Mahila congress led by President Indu Pawar Ex-MLA charged the UP Government of shielding the culprits and utter failure to take prompt action in the gruesome incident.
Raising slogans expressing their anger over the barbaric incident, the Mahila Congress leaders demanded capital punishment to all the culprits and exemplary punishment to all those who shielded the criminals and did not take any action after the gruesome crime of rape and torture.
They termed it highly barbaric and shameful for the BJP and UP Govt. for failure to provide specialized treatment to the victim and immediate police action for over two weeks.
They said that UP has become a dangerous place to live for the women and daughter and it is worst example of Jungle Raj and sought resignation of UP Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath for the failure to check atrocities against women.
