Sir,
Refer news item ‘Cong at its lowest in last 72 yrs : Azad’ DE Nov 23, 2020.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) leader Ghulam Nabi Azad is not off the mark when he said that the Congress is at its lowest in last 72 yrs as the party has been facing existential crisis for last one decade.
The recent bad performance by Congress Party in Bihar and bypolls across the country has given it a further jolt, and put a question mark on the credibility of its leadership. One after another, senior Congress leaders are criticising the dynastic politics and sychophancy that has become its hall mark. The sincere voices are either dubbed as dissidents or neglected caring least for their concern.
The Congress party is losing its core vote base among all sections of society over its ideological drift and indecisiveness on various national and international issues that confront the nation today.
It will take a deep churning in the party before it can think of revival, and show Pan India presence.
