JAMMU, Nov 18: Under Jan Jagran Abhiyan Beopar Mandal president and District general secretary Congress, Gurmeet Singh and team here today distributed mattresses among poor people in Jammu East Constituency so that they may safeguard themselves in this harsh cold climate.
A handout stated that J&K Congress president, G.A Mir; vice presidents, Raman Bhalla and Mula Ram, spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma; general secretary, Manmohan Singh and Ashok Sharma, in-charge J&K have directed JKPCC activists to render their services to help the poor-needy and deserving people facing economic crisis.
Gurmeet Singh said that the poor people who are unable to afford gas cylinders should be provided free gas cylinders and kerosene oil in addition to free ration.
Ward-3 president Hardavinder Singh; S.P Slathia, president Gujjar & Bakarwal, Nimmi; Deepu, Manohar Joshi, Poli, Taro, Amarpreet Singh, Vijay Kumar, Raj Kumar, Apu Singh, Javesh Arora and others were also present on the occasion.
