Congress leaders seek vote for Mir

JAMMU, Apr 5: J&K Pradesh Congress Migrant Cell today held a meeting at Jagti under the leadership of its chairman and senior Congress leader, Hira Lal Pandita. The meeting appealed the people to cast their vote in favour of Congress chief and candidate from Anantnag Lok Sabha Constituency, G A Mir in the ensuing elections.
The meeting among others was addressed by Manohar Nath Pandita, vice chairman of the Cell, its general secretary, Chuni Lal Kandi and co-convener Shadi Lal Pandita. It also appealed migrants to fill up their M Forms before the due date.
Shadi Lal assured full support to party candidate in the elections. The meeting also demanded that migrants with monthly income below Rs 12,000 should be included in party manifesto, announcement of 3000 more posts for the migrants in addition to PM package posts announced by then PM Manmohan Singh, compensation to property lost during turmoil, release of pending ex-gratia at earliest, release of RBA certificates for the migrants, enhancement of cash assistance and providing of ration to migrant employees on cash payment at the rate of nine kgs per soul. Hira Lal Pandita assured the gathering that he will put forth these demands with PCC chief, G A Mir.
Raj Kumar Tickoo, Mr Suri, Amrita Bhat, M L Raina, Vijay Sopori, B L Hangloo, R K Bhat, Satish Kumar, Sunil Koul, Makhan Lal Shadi Lal, Kashi Nath, Ramesh Kumar Raina and others attended the meeting.
