JAMMU, Sept 5: Arvind Gupta, a senior BJP leader and the contesting candidate from the Jammu West Assembly segment intensified his door-to-door campaign in the constituency here today.
While interacting with the people, Gupta said that Congress has neglected the people of Jammu region and is incapable of addressing the needs of the people.
He said that the Congress has failed to deliver on its promises and that the people should turn to the BJP, which has consistently proven its dedication to the nation’s development.
Gupta lauded the bold decisions made by the BJP-led government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, particularly the historic move to abrogate Article 370, which has significantly changed the landscape of Jammu and Kashmir and stated that this decisive action has helped the Union Territory escape the vicious cycle of violence and unrest that plagued it for decades.
“Before the abrogation of Article 370, the common people of Jammu and Kashmir were trapped in a quagmire of violence, bloodshed, and uncertainty. Now, women, refugees from 1947, the Valmiki Samaj, Pahadis, and other marginalized groups are finally receiving their rightful place in society and living with dignity,” he said.
The senior BJP leader further emphasized that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the country is witnessing a transformative era and appealed to the people to carefully evaluate the achievements of the BJP over the past decade and vote and support him in the upcoming Assembly elections, with the goal of ensuring continued progress and stability for the region.
