Congress promises Refugees Welfare Board

JAMMU, Sept 29: Senior JKPCC leader, Ravinder Sharma has said that establishment of Refugees Welfare Board as promised by Congress will go a long way in resolving pending issues of refugees and appealed them to vote for Congress.
Interacting with refugees of 1947, 1965 and 1971 in a series of meetings in Jammu and Kathua districts, Sharma said that Congress has accepted the long pending demand for the establishment of a separate Refugees Welfare Board besides a financial package recommended for refugees.
“BJP Government betrayed PoJK refugees by sanctioning only meagre package of Rs. 5.5 lakh against 30 lakh,” he maintained adding: “Recommendations for reservation for the wards of refugees has also been ignored by BJP and against the promised eight Assembly seats, only one was given to the refugees.”
The Congress leader appealed the public to vote for Congress-NC alliance candidates contesting in R.S Pura, Bishnah, Suchetgarh, Jammu West, Jasrota, Hiranagar, Basohli, Billawar, Hiranagar and at other places also.
