Congress put Chenab valley on path of progress: Naiz

BHADERWAH, Nov 2: Stating that concerted efforts of the Government especially of Congress in the State with full backing of the people has put Chenab valley on the path of progress and development, MLA Bhaderwah Mohd Sharief Naiz today asserted that day was not far when the Chenab valley especially Bhaderwah constituency would thrive on every front in whole State.
Addressing public gathering at Bhaderwah after assuming the charge of Deputy leader of Congress Legislature Party (CLP), Mr Naiz said that Bhaderwah constituency witnessed unprecedented development during last four years of the Coalition Government, adding that focused thrust was laid to improve basic amenities across the Chenab valley.
“Some people, who had done corruption in the state as Government servant, are  now claiming that they will win the coming election and flush out the corruption”, he said, adding “people friendly initiatives taken by the Government have changed the profile of the Bhaderwah constituency”.
He said that the Government was paying focused attention on the growth of economy and upliftment of poor in whole Chenab valley by initiating various developmental works.
Mr Naiz said that implementation of flagship programmes like MGNERGA, PMGSY, NRHM, SSA and other centrally funded schemes have brought sea change in socio-economic condition of the people besides helping in up gradation of infrastructure under core sectors.
He said that administration has been made accountable before the people by enactment of Public Services Guarantee Act, revival of Accountability Commission and other pro-people initiatives for bringing transparency in the working of Government.
The Congress MLA said that involvement of Panchayats and Gram Sabhas in plan formation and implementation of schemes would definitely ensure all-round development of hilly and border areas as per the aspirations of the people.
CLP Deputy leader was accompanied by Assembly president Youth Congress Nadeem Sharief, Block Congress Committee president Shabir Ahmed Khan and various Sarpanchs, Panchs and Congress activists.
