Congress, regional parties never cared to develop Ladakh: BJP

JAMMU, July 4: Accusing Congress and regional parties in J&K of never caring for development of Ladakh, BJP state executive member, Raman Suri today said ever since independence these parties ignored Ladakh and treated it as an extension of Kashmir division.
“Consequently transparent and effective governance never made its presence in Ladakh forcing people and students of this region to go to other places to make their fortunes,” Suri maintained.
In a handout he stated that Congress, NC or PDP always deprived Ladakh of universities, technical colleges, indoor stadiums, all weather roads etc but National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government at the centre and its appointed head in J&K granted Ladakh a divisional status and now the same is being strengthened by creating posts only to be filled in subsequently.
Other than these, Suri said Ladakh needs an indoor stadium, all weather roads, a full-fledged university, technical colleges and allied institutions, super specialty hospitals etc to develop in an organized manner.
