RAMNAGAR, Nov 16: Close on heels of issuance of a press-statement by MLA Ramnagar, Harshdev Singh, criticising Union Health Minister for by-passing State Government while announcing health-centers for J&K, an emergent meeting of senior Congress workers of Ramnagar was convened here today wherein the speakers welcomed initiatives and endeavours of Union Health Minister in improving healthcare facilities of J&K by setting up Hospitals, PHCs and Sub-Centers.
They also sought similar packages or announcements in Ramnagar, Majalta and Dudu-Basantgarh.  While attributing outbursts of local MLA as an acts of frustration, negative approach, immature political thinking and mischievous imagination, they were of unanimous opinion that he stands exposed and debased before the people of Ramnagar as since 1996, the date of his election as MLA Ramnagar, he has not been able to open up even a single health insitituion in Ramnagar assembly segment.
Moreover, Sub-District Hospital at Ramnagar and PHCs at Majalta, Basantgarh, Khoon, Mansar, Bharnara, Dudu, Rang, Jofar and Chanunta are languishing due to infrastructural and operational drawbacks while more than 10000 people living in Chor Panjian, Motu, Khubban, Pandhar, Garh Samna Banj and Laa have no healthcare facility, they added.
