JAMMU, Dec 3: Minister for Housing, Culture and Horticulture and Congress candidate Raman Bhalla has intensified the poll campaign in the Gandhi Nagar Constituency and apprised the people about party’s multi-pronged planning and strategy to deal with the issues of unemployment, poverty and upliftment of weaker sections of the society. Mr Bhalla said that it was his endeavor to develop the Gandhi Nagar on modern lines and a model constituency in the State. For cherishing this dream, Minister has sought people’s support for another stint.
He said this while addressing series of election rallies in Bhatindi, Sant Nagar, Hajipora,
Sanjay Nagar, Digiana, Gangyal, Satwari, Model Town, Azad Nagar, Digiana Ashram areas in the Gandhi
Nagar constituency. He cautioned the people against the propaganda unleashed by the disruptive forces against the Congress, adding that these unscrupulous forces appear during election and try to spread false rumors and incite the sentiments of innocent people in the name of religion, caste, creed and color.
Mr Bhalla disclosed that Congress made development as a narrative and discourses in the State, and dispersed the fruits of development beyond the limitations, adding that Congress has vision of a vibrant, progressive and united Jammu and Kashmir. He asked the people to bring back the Congress to power to carry out the development in every nook and corner of the three regions of the State. Referring to the development of Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Minister asked the people to compare his tenures as representative of the constituency with previous 50 years and feel the difference themselves on ground. Electrification of number of areas in the constituency was done by getting a number of electric poles and transformers installed and upgraded, Minister said, adding that around 15 schools have been upgraded to high and higher secondary level, which are catering to the needs of thousands of students at their doorsteps and all this happened due to the positive approach, sincerity and dedication of the Congress party towards the people.
Seeking vote for Congress party, Bhalla asked the people to make best use of their vote in the forthcoming Assembly elections to elect honest, dedicated and people friendly representative. Among others present were Panch Yaqoob, Rajinder Singh, Makhan, Bablu, Billa Choudhary, Sarpanch Amrit Bali, Sarpanch Vishal Charak, Lucky, Sunny, Romi, etc.
