Constitute Development Council for Pandits: VKS

JAMMU, Feb 7: Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj (VKS), has demanded development councils for the Kashmiri Pandits which can take up the problems faced by the community.
The VKS, which met here, today under the leadership of Kiran Wattal its chairman discussed the problems and various other issues of displaced KPs threadbare.
While addressing the meeting Wattal said that J&K is fast on the path of progress and development under the leadership of Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha. He also complimented LG for initiating various schemes for the benefit of KPs and termed the recent initiative of LG for launching various schemes for the benefit of KPs at Jagti township and other places.
He expressed the hope that the promises and flagship schemes inaugurated by LG at Jagti township will be implemented in letter and spirit so that KPs could avail their benefits which they have been demanding since long.
He also appealed the Lt Governor, Manoj Siha to release the salaries of previous months to PM package employees who are on dharna for past six months.
Pinto Ji a senior leader of the organization complimented the Secretary to Government Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Nazim Zai Khan and Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, K K Sidha said both officers have brought transparency in the Department.
