Constitution of Shrine Board for Maha Kali temple demanded

JAMMU, July 10: Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC) has reiterated its stand on establishment of Shrine Board for Mata Maha Kali temple (Bawe Wali Mata).
This was stated by Ishant Gupta, spokesman BFDC while talking to reporters here today along with Sourabh Sethi, and Vicky Sharma vice presidents and Vivek Sharma secretary.
He said Mata Maha Kali Mandir Bahu Fort sans basic facilities like Sarai, passenger shed, parking facilities and the road leading to shrine is also narrow.
Mr Gupta said though the demand was made by BFDC since 1999 but after 14 years the Government has turned a deaf ear to it.
Gupta said the biggest religious place in Jammu has been ignored by the Government which has resulted in the poor facilities to the pilgrims visiting the shrine in thousands daily. The all people of Jammu region are for formation of Shrine Board for the holy temple of Bahu Wali Mata and Government should concede the same immediately.
Constitution of Mata Maha Kali Shrine Board will help in promotion of pilgrimage tourism in Jammu as the shrine will attract thousands of pilgrims from outside the State also.
