In view of deteriorating situation on LoC due to constant firing by Pak rangers and infiltration bids by militants, it is necessary that border people are provided protection by constructing bunkers where they can take refuge during crisis.
People living along LoC have been bearing brunt of Indo-Pak hostilities since partition of the country in 1947. Though there was peace for some time, most of the time LoC remains in the firing line.
These people suffer not only loss of human lives but also cattle and crops. They are often subjected to migration whenever hostilities break out. As a result they have to leave everything behind without any safety. To avoid such situations time and again, it is necessary that concrete bunkers are constructed for these people.
They should also be compensated for loss of their crops and cattle which is mainstay of their livelihood.
The Government(s) both State and Centre should without any delay take a look on these aspects.
