SRINAGAR, July 5: A three day consultative module design conference of master trainers of Jammu and Kashmir concluded at the Directorate of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan at Srinagar.
The conference was attended by forty five master trainers from all over the State.
Farooq Ahmad Shah, Secretary Education, J&K was the chief guest at the concluding function.
The conference of master trainers was organized for upgrading the training module for the training of over 90000 teachers of the State during 2017-18.
State Project Director, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Saugat Biswas briefed the Secretary Education about the massive training programme organized for in-service teachers of the State during 2016-17.
Biswas announced that in the current year there would be two kinds of refresher trainings, one on pedagogy for middle school teachers and the other for primary teachers on activity based learning to be facilitated by “PRATHAM”. The consultative workshop dealt with both the trainings.
In his concluding remarks, Farooq Shah, Secretary School Education, J&K emphasized the need and importance of the refresher trainings for middle and primary school teachers. The quality of education imparted to the students of the Government schools can be raised only when the teachers will be capacity enabled and given enough motivation and support for teaching in the schools with innovative methods he added.
He urged the master trainers to remain focused on the trainings of the teachers and monitor that the trainings show results at the classroom level.
Shah distributed certificates of appreciation to all the master trainers as recognition of their accomplishment.
