Contain corruption

Sir,
Though a very serious matter, yet when one speaks of its eradication, people shake their heads indicating sheer impossibility as it has deepened its roots everywhere. Corruption is nothing but degradation in our moral and ethical values. The element of greed, more or less, all human beings possess, results into this evil. The materialism, as has become an attitude of life, often drags one to this direction. Multi-crore scams and embezzlements, the country suffers, do explain how even high echelons of the administration  are neck-deep in this practice. Actually, systems are more responsible than men in this phenomenon. Prevalance of corruption retards development and weakens the nation beyond description.
More than most is the existing system of education. Though scientific in nature , it has failed to cultivate and inculcate social and moral values which imbibe citizens with virtues like disciplined life, honesty dedication and nationalism. It is strongly felt that until social and ethical  principles aren’t propagated and practised, the sinful fog, wherein the society/Govts seem disappeared, will remain drowned in the pool of corruption.
Yours etc….
