JAMMU, Dec 19: Former Deputy CM and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Kavinder Gupta today asserted that his party stands for the continuation of relief to Bakerwal families of Majalta (Udhampur). The party expressed its displeasure over discontinuing of relief and ration to Scheduled Tribe (ST) families temporarily living in Majalta (Udhampur) after being uprooted from Anantnag (Kashmir) due to militancy.
“If Government intends to make up procedural lapses, they could do it but at the same time, the relief should be given uninterrupted, on regular basis. It is a matter of concern, especially for vulnerable communities such as the Gujjars and Bakerwals living in higher reaches whose family survives on it only”, said Kavinder Gupta.
Accompanied by party spokesperson and former MLA, Ranbir Singh Pathania and Shailja Gupta, J&K BJP Working Committee member, Kavinder Gupta, listened to the public grievances at BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
Kavinder emphasized that the Modi Government is committed to transparency and the betterment of the communities, which were earlier neglected. He urged individuals from these communities to assert their rights confidently, assuring that BJP leaders and workers were ready to support them in uplifting every section of society.
RS Pathania highlighted the essential role of BJP workers as bridges, ensuring that the issues of the most marginalized sections of society, which remained at loss for previous decades are solved at the earliest. He said BJP is committed to justice to neglected and deprived sections of society.
Shailja Gupta, said that senior party leaders listen to the issues of public daily at the party headquarter and many people visit the party leaders to present their issues.
Numerous individuals and deputations from Trikuta Nagar, Beli Charana, Nowshera, Bhari, Doda, Gandhi Nagar, Kunjwani, Anantnag and other parts of Jammu & Kashmir visited the party office.
Issues related to black topping and repair of drains, regular supply of water, land issue, relief for migrant family, release of retirement benefits, widening of deep drain, installation of new street-lights, were highlighted by the people.
The BJP leaders listened patiently to the various issues represented by the deputations, telephonically talked to the concerned departmental officials for resolving the issues and also issued letters to many of them.
