Contraband, cash seized

JAMMU, Aug 29: Bahu Fort Police seized contraband and Rs 1.18 lakh cash from a house in Rajeev Nagar.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari conducted raid in a house and recovered 1 kilogram ganja, 50 grams cocane and Rs 1.18 lakh cash.
However, on seeing the cops approaching, the owner of the house identified as Paul, son of Roshan Lal of Rajeev Nagar and his wife Seema Kheri escaped from the spot.
The recovery of the contraband and cash was made in presence of Executive Magistrate First Class.
A case under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and hunt has been launched to nab the couple.
It is pertinent to mention here that the couple was a notorious drug dealer and various cases stand registered against them.
