JAMMU, June 22: Ongoing hunger strike by Contractual Lecturers (10+2) entered into 129th day, today.
This morning, fresh batch of Contractual Lecturers, comprising Amit Maini, Azhar Ahmad, Richa Maini and Ramana Kumari began their chain hunger strike. Amidst raising of slogans in support of their demand for regularization, those sitting on chain hunger strike today, were garlanded by other protesters.
They also held a protest demonstration and strongly criticized the State Government for its alleged callous attitude towards genuine demand of highly educated Contractual Lecturers.
These agitating Contractual Lecturers are demanding their regularization as per Civil Services Special Provision Act 2010, a legislature passed for all Ad-hoc Contractual Consolidated Employees as one measure.
