BISHNAH, Apr 6: One day convention of Congress workers of Bishnah constituency was held at Arnia town in which  Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and former member CWC-AICC was the chief guest and  Abdul Gani Vakil, Former Minister was also present.
Various speakers on the occasion explained the most grim situation arisen due to the untimely devastating rains and floods which have destroyed the whole crops of the farmers who are at the verge of starvation because of the non-availability of ration and other requirements needed for their families.
They demanded immediate relief measures and other requisite steps for emulating their problems.
The senior Congress leaders showed resentment against the formation of new Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) without taking into confidence the senior leaders of the State.
They appealed to the High Command to review the same so that the party can be revived in the State which has suffered irreparable loss during the recently held Assembly election.
Speaking on the occasion,  Abdul Gani Vakil explained in detail about the resentment brewing in the rank and file of the party in Kashmir Province and said that if the High Command fails to take action for rectifying the blunder committed in the formation of PCC because of being misled by the vested interests, the party will be totally finished in the Valley.
Gulchain Singh Charak assured the Congress leaders to take up their genuine concern with the High Command at the earliest so that the party is saved from further erosion.
The main speakers who expressed their views during the meeting included Gambhir Dev Singh, Dr O P Saini,  Madan Bhagat,  Waryam Chand, Dr Raghubir Singh, Master Balwant Saini,  Khazan Chand,  Sat Pal Bhagat, Dr Gurdass Ram,  Nand Lal Bhagat and others.
