RAJOURI, Jan 18: To fight against the forcible eviction of landholders, All Parties Coordination Committee has been framed in Rajouri.
This was announced in a meeting attended by representatives from NC, PDP, Congress, Apni Party, Aam Aadmi Party and heads of various socio-political and religious organisations, here today.
In one voice, all the representatives of political parties, former legislators, DDC members, BDC Chairpersons, Sarpanches and Panches of district Rajouri unanimously elected Choudhary Naseem Liaqat, DDC Chairman Rajouri as convenor of the Coordination Committee.
Several former Ministers, legislators, DDC Members, BDC Chairpersons, various heads of social and religious organisations and PRI members extended full support to the All Parties Coordination Committee to carry forward the mission to protect poor and voiceless people from the `draconian’ order of the Revenue Department to forcibly dislodge landholders from the land in the name of anti encroachment drive.
Announcement in this regard was made during a joint press conference, addressed by senior social and political activists and attended by ex-minister Shabir Khan VC DDC, ex MLA Chowdhary Qammar Hussain, Shafayat Ahmed Khan, district president JKNC; Manzoor Hussain Shah, District president JKAP; Tazeem Dar, District president JKPDP; Liaqat Chowdhary, Asif Bhat, Rafaqat Chowdhary, Irfan Zari, Abrar Khan, Sanjeev Sayal, Sooraj Parkash and Sardar Prabjot Singh.
Adhoc committee of the newly floated body includes Choudhary Naseem Liaqat (DDC Chairman Rajouri) as Convenor with Sain Abdul Rashid (DDC member Rajouri), Arun Kumar Sharma (BDC Chairman Sunderbani), Sardar Manohar Singh (DDC member Nowshera) and Thakur Rameshwar Singh (DDC member Dhangri) as Co-convenors.
Shafayat Ahmed Khan, district president JKNC; Manzoor Hussain Shah, district president JKAP; Advocate Masood Chowdhary, Master Iqbal Shah and Sooraj Parkash were nominated as Secretaries. Adv Shokit Ali, Anjum Mirza, Prabjot Singh, Thakur Yashu Wardhan Singh were nominated as Coordinators, Sanjeev Sayal as Cashier and Tazeem Dar as Spokesperson.
The highest decision making body will also include former minister Chowdhary Zulfqar Ali, former minister and VCDDC Shabir Ahmed Khan, former MLA Ch Qammar Hussain, DDC members Rameshwar Singh, Manohar Singh, Shamim Akhter, Anita Thakur and BDC Chairpersons Mian Imran Shamim Akhter, Surekha Devi, Tazeem Akhter, Riaz Ahmed, Arun Sharma, Darbar Chowdhary, all district presidents and block presidents and PRI members associated with these political parties which are supporting All Parties Coordination Committee.
