REASI, Sept 24: A policeman among two persons were killed when their vehicle carrying a Zonal Magistrate on poll duty, plunged into a deep gorge at Jabaro Morh on the Tuskan stretch along Mahore to Gulabgarh Road, here today.
Zonal Magistrate Ajay Kumar, however, escaped with minor injuries as he jumped out from the vehicle before it rolled down into the 100-metre deep gorge.

The deceased were identified as Aijaz Ahmed (35), a Police Constable from Kotranka Budhal Bukori, Rajouri and driver Javed Ahmad (22), son of Bashir Ahmed, a resident of Khor Gulabgarh.
Reports said that Ajay Kumar was on his way to Gulabgarh to review the polling arrangements in the Shadole polling station area when the accident took place.
Bodies of the deceased were retrieved from the gorge and shifted for post-mortem while Ajay Kumar was undergoing treatment at hospital and his condition was stated to be stable.
