Cop among 6 injured in road mishaps

UDHAMPUR, Mar 1: A cop among six persons was injured in separate road accidents, here today.
According to the police reports, a rashly driven truck, bearing registration number JK18A-1311 hit a JKP Constable on duty at police naka Rehambal on the National Highway.  The injured Constable was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu.
The injured cop was identified as Constable Hari Krishan. Police has seized the truck and also arrested its driver Nazir Ahmad, son of Mohd. Soan of Qazigund Kashmir.
A father and his son were injured when their motorcycle skidded of the road near Slathia Chowk Udhampur. Locals took the injured duo to District Hospital Udhampur. They were identified as Romesh Chander, son of Bagh Mal of Slathia Chowk and his son Amit Kumar.
In another road accident, a truck hit by an Alto car near Rehambal, resulting into injuries to Puja Devi, wife of Moti Lal of New Plot Jammu, who was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur.
Another truck hit a motorcycle at jib Morh Rehambal. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to District Hospital Udhampur. The injured was identified as 40- year old Rattan Lal of Katra.
A motorcyclist was critically injured when his bike skidded off the road near Barrian Udhampur. Locals shifted the injured to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Jammu Hospital. The injured was identified as Ishaq Ahmed (49) son of Mohmed Jamil of Umala Udhampur.
