RAJOURI, Apr 23: The police has booked a group of men involved in luring people for doubling their money and has arrested a Police personal who was also found involved in it.
Official sources said that in Manjakote Police Station, many people lodged complaint that some local men from Rajouri have taken their money on the pretext of doubling and are not handing back the same.
Taking note on the directions SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas , a team of police headed by SHO Manjakote Manzoor Kohli under the supervision of SDPO Manjakote, Nissar Khoja started investigation during which it was found that a number of people from Manjakote police jurisdiction have invested their money with some local men of Rajouri with assurance of doubling it.
The entire system was found to be run in violation of norms after which a case FIR 31/2019 under Sections 420, 109 RPC has been registered in Police Station Manjakote.
During investigation a police Constable identified as Iftkhar Ahmed, resident of Salwah in Mendhar and posted in Rajouri was also found actively involved in it who was luring locals to invest their money. He has been arrested while search has been started for other persons booked in the case.
