SRINAGAR, Sept 16: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested a traffic cop in Sonamarg area of Ganderbal district for accepting bribe from a truck driver.
The ACB team headed by DySP Ghulam Nabi arrested one traffic cop Mohmad Ayoob Dar in a trap case near Traffic Check Post(TCP) Sonamarg when he accepted a bribe of Rs 9000 from one truck driver Parvaiz Ahmad of Kupwara.
An official said that the truck driver had lodged a complaint with the ACB and a trap was laid and the cop was arrested along with the bribe money.
