SAMBA, July 17: A trainee constable at Police Technical Training Institute Vijaypur became serious after he allegedly consumed some poisonous stuff at the Centre early today.
Identified as Harbhahaj Singh, son of Tara Singh, he was rushed to Vijaypur hospital and then referred to GMC hospital Jammu. While the senior officials at the training center remained tight lipped over the matter, the Vijaypur police registered a case in this connection and started investigation.
A police officials said that as per doctors, cop had either consumed poison or it was a case of snake bite. He said the victim was unconscious and could not give any statement. The family got him referred to CMC Ludhiana during the day from Jammu hospital. Further investigation was in progress.
