MENDHAR, June 8: An elderly man landed into hospital after his Head Constable son, severely beaten him up over some property issue at Mankote village in tehsil Mendhar today.
Reports said 75-year-old Mohd Dad Khan was admitted to Sub-District Hospital Mendhar with multiple injuries this afternoon after he was allegedly beaten up by his son, Mohd Farooq Khan, presently posted as Head Constable in 11th Battalion of Jammu Kashmir Armed Police in Kashmir. The victim, who hails from Mankote also lodged a written complaint in the Police Station at Mendhar.
Later, the Police detained the Head Constable and initiated action against him. The victim was admitted to Mendhar Hospital under MRD/MLC No. 2743 today by the other family members.
