UDHAMPUR, Sept 28: A cop of Jammu and Kashmir Police displayed act of honesty by handing over the lost bag containing Rs 1.70 lakh cash and other documents to its owner.
As per official spokesman, yesterday during patrolling, a Selection Grade Constable (SgCt) Rajinder Kumar from Police Post Sudhmahadev found an unclaimed bag in the Sudhmahadev market.
He enquired but no one claimed the bag. On checking, Rs 1.70 lakh cash and other documents were found in the bag.
Later, the whereabouts of the owner of the bag were traced out, police spokesman said, adding that the bag belongs to Vishal Seth, son of Girdhari Lal of Mand, District Udhampur.
The bag was handed over to owner after proper receipt.
