JAMMU, Oct 18: A cop of J&K police was today found dead at his residence in Jallochak area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a Head Constable of J&K police identified as Bishan Singh (Belt No 31/J), son of Chater Singh, resident of lower Jallochak in Gangyal area, was found hanging this afternoon at his residence by his cousin.
He said that on getting information, a police team from police station Gangyal reached the spot and shifted the body of the deceased cop to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for post mortem.
“No suicide note was recovered from the spot”, the police official said, adding the deceased cop was presently posted at police station Nowabad.
