JAMMU, Mar 30: A cop injured in accidental gun fire near canteen in District Court complex in District Kishtwar on March 28 succumbed to his injuries, here today, a police official said.
The deceased has been identified as Suresh Kumar, son of Boopa Ram, a resident of Durbeel in Tehsil Chatroo of District Kishtwar.
He was undergoing treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu after being referred from District Hospital Kishtwar.
After completing legal formalities, the body of the deceased has been handed over to family members for last rites.
Kishtwar police has taken cognizance in this regard.
