JAMMU, Oct 21: A cop was injured after a Tata Mobile hit him during checking at Domana Morh area of Phallian Mandal.
As per police sources, a team from Police Post Phallian Mandal Inspector Anil Kumar laid a naka At Domana Morh near Phallian Mandal and signalled a Tata Mobile to stop for checking.
On seeing cops, the driver accelerated the vehicle and escaped from the spot after hitting SPO identified as Ram Parshad. Other cops escaped miraculously in the incident.
The injured SPO was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu from where he was later discharged after first aid.
A case FIR Number 340/2021 under relevant Sections including 307 IPC has been registered at Police Station Satwari and hunt has been launched to nab the accused driver.
