JAMMU, Nov 6: A cop involved in firing case registered at Police Station Arnia yesterday has been suspended.
This was informed by Commandant IR-12th Battalion Mohammad Arshid while talking to the EXCELSIOR.
The cop posted in IR-12th Battalion at Samba, who has been suspended, was identified as Bhopinder Singh, a resident of Chak Mohammad Yaar RS Pura District Jammu.
It is pertinent to mention here that the cop was involved in a firing case, in which he shot down two assailants and injured as many when they (assailants) tried to attack him and his associate SgCt Sadeeq of Salehar RS Pura District Jammu with sharp edged weapons.
The action was taken by the cop in self defence. However, exact reason would be clear after investigation of the case completes.
