DODA, June 10: A Policeman lost his life in a tragic road accident here late last night.
The accident took place near Wani Morh on the Highway at Assar when a car bearing registration number JK06A-8724 while on way from Jammu to Doda rolled down from the road and landed in a deep gorge.

Immediately after the accident Police, local NGO (Alkhair) and SDRF Doda team started rescue operation and retrieved the dead body from the vehicle.
The deceased was identified as Ram Raj, 47, son of Amar Chand, resident of Paryota, Chanota in Doda, Head Constable in J&K Police.
After legal formalities the body was handed over to relatives of the deceased for last rites.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
