UDHAMPUR, Dec 11: A Police Head Constable died when his motorcycle was hit by a dumper Truck near Narsu on the National Highway Chenani.
The deceased has been identified as Surinder Kumar, resident of District Kathua. He was going home on leave.
According to the reports, the deceased cop, riding motorcycle JK08E-1187, was on way from Ramban to Kathua when his bike was hit by a dumper truck JK19-6567, near Narsu.
Some locals and Chenani Police rushed the injured cop to Sub District Hospital Chenani where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Chenani Police seized the dumper while its driver fled away from the spot after the accident.
