DODA, Mar 18: A cop today lost his life in a tragic road accident while a Sector Magistrate was injured after the vehicle they were onboard fell in a deep gorge.

As per sources the ill fated vehicle was a car of Celerio make bearing registration number JK06A/2388 and it was driven by Sector Magistrate, Tanveer Ahmed Salaria.
The vehicle was moving towards Marmat area with the Sector Magistrate and Head Constable Roshan Lal posted at Police Post Goha onboard.
Both were going in connection with vulnerable mapping of the Polling Stations but at about 9.45 am on reaching near Dugga Goha the vehicle fell in a deep gorge leaving both the travellers critically injured and they were shifted to GMC Doda where Roshan Lal succumbed to his injuries while the Sector Magistrate was airlifted to GMC Jammu for specialised treatment.
Police has registered a case in this regard in FIR with number 52/2024 and started investigation.
