Two suspects arrested with arms

Jammu, Oct 31: A policeman was martyred in a militant attack in Baramulla district today.
Head Constable Ghulam Mohammad Dar was shot at by the militants outside his residence at Kralpora in Pattan area of the district. Dar was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
This is the third such terrorist attack in as many days in Kashmir. A police officer was critically injured in militant firing on Sunday in Srinagar and a labourer from Uttar Pradesh was shot dead in Pulwama district the next day.
Meanwhile , two suspected persons were today arrested with arms and ammunition in Dangarpora area of Baramulla district.
An official said that in the evening a joint party of JK Police and Army arrested a duo at Nardhari Dangarpora. “Upon their frisking, the joint party recovered a Chinese pistol, 12 9mm rounds and two Chinese grenades”, they said.
Identifying the duo as Ghulam Hassan Mir, son of Ghulam Rasool Mir and Mukhtar Ahmad Khan, son of Mohammad Afzal Khan, both residents of Chandoosa Baramulla, the official further said that a case has been registered in this regard and both the persons taken into custody for questioning.
