JAMMU, Nov 7: A policeman was shot at and martyred outside his residence by militants at SD Colony today here today, officials said.
Militants fired upon constable Touseef Ahmad son of Mohammad Usman Wani of S.D Colony Batamaloo, leaving him critically injured. He was shifted to SMHS hospital where he succumbed on the way. He was shot in the head.

A police spokesman said that the incident took place at 9:15 pm. Senior police officers rushed to the spot and the area was cordoned off.
Police have registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of law. Investigation is in progress and officers continue to work to establish the circumstances which led to this attack.
And a militant of The Resistance Front (TRF) was critically injured in Hermain area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district today.
The militant identified as Sahil Bashir Lone of Hermain was found in critical condition at native area. Some locals who saw him took him to district hospital. It was not immediately known how Sahil suffered injuries.
Sahil is a category-C militant and had joined militant ranks on October 12 this year. “He was in our list. He is critical,” police said.
Militants today hurled a grenade at the security forces in Kulgam. However, there was no loss of life or injury.
