JAMMU, Feb 4: A police constable allegedly shot himself dead inside Police Station Nowabad here.

The incident happened on Saturday night when Selection Grade Constable Iqbal Hussain posted at Police Station Nowabad used his service weapon to end his life.
“Prima facie it appears that he used his service weapon to shoot himself dead. FSL team and crime photographer has been called on the spot,” a police spokesperson said, adding that inquest proceedings have been initiated to ascertain the reasons as to why the constable took such an extreme step to end his life.
