Copper edges higher on pick up in demand

NEW DELHI, Apr 30:  Copper traded higher by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous market today following pick up in demand from consuming industries.
However, other base metals held steady in thin trade.
Traders said improved demand from consuming industries led to the rise copper prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap rose by Rs 2 to Rs 366 per kg.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 96-102, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 838-843, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 366, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 76, lead imported Rs 82, aluminium ingots Rs 155, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 151, aluminium wire scrap Rs 151 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 149. (PTI)
